The lake Chandratal ... is one of the most beautiful place in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India . As is evident from the background picture you will not find words enough to describe the scenic splendour . Situated at a height of 4270m, and circumference of about 3km the lake gives you an astounding view of the Bara-Shigri Glacier and the peaks those towers above it. Though the surrounding peaks remain snow bound all through the year the lake opens itself to the adventure lovers in the summers when one can trek or even drive up to 2km from the lake itself .
